Qosina Carries Over 40 Different Tuohy Borst Adapters
Qosina is pleased to carry over 40 different configurations of tuohy borst adapters in sizes ranging from 0-18 FR. A tuohy borst adapter, which is a three-piece assembly comprised of a body, gasket and cap, is commonly used to prevent the backflow of fluid and facilitate catheter introduction. The silicone valve and cap torque around a tube or instrument to hold it in place. Tuohy borst adapters from Qosina are cost-effective, durable and easy to build into a design. Because Qosina carries so many different styles available off-the-shelf, they can provide customers with a number of solutions. Qosina also carries build-it-yourself options for custom configurations based on customers’ applications. Qosina offers tuohy borst adapters with various connection types such as female luer lock, male luer lock, male luer with spin lock, barbed, threaded and tubing port. Qosina also stocks tuohy borsts with or without sideports, and in small or large-bore body types.
Qosina Supplies Check Valves with Coated Stems
Qosina has added two patented in-line check valves (#80198 and #80199) to its product line. These valves feature a unique male luer lock outlet with a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) coated stem that acts as an elastic sealing element. The stem is designed to avoid the adherence of mating surfaces and improve sealing, allowing for an easy disconnection of the luers. The low mating force significantly reduces the risk of stress cracks at the female luer connection. Additionally, these new check valves are manufactured in an ISO Class 8 Clean Room; BPA- and latex-free; REACH and RoHS compliant; and suitable for EtO and gamma sterilization.

Qosina is excited to announce the addition of 12 new stopcocks to its existing selection of bulk, non-sterile components. These new stopcocks are REACH and RoHS compliant, and feature low profiles, low pressure ratings and unique configurations that include build-in styles. With nearly 100 different options from which to choose, Qosina supplies 1-way, 2-way, 3-way and 4-way stopcocks and stopcock manifolds, with connection options that include male luer locks, female luer locks, male luer slips, barbs and tubing ports. Qosina Carries Securing Clamps for High-Pressure Connections
Qosina is pleased to stock a variety of Oetiker® stainless steel, non-greased StepLess® ear clamps that can be used in a wide range of applications across multiple industries. These clamps are ideal for high-pressure connections where leakage is a concern, providing a more secure connection than standard plastic securing clamps. Qosina’s line of Oetiker® StepLess® ear clamps range in size from 0.378 inch closed to 1.421 inches open, with band width options of 5 mm and 7 mm. The clamps’ StepLess® tongue-in-groove design exerts pressure and eliminates steps and/or overlaps on the inner circumference of the clamp, providing a 360° leak-free seal. Qosina also carries Oetiker® clamping tools for installation and removal of the clamps. These single and compound action pincers and cutting tools are designed to provide optimal performance for high-strength connections and are perfect for tight space constraints.

Qosina is pleased to announce they have teamed up with veteran medical adhesive manufacturer H.B. Fuller to offer a selection of off-the-shelf instant and UV-curable cyanoacrylate adhesive solutions for bonding medical device assemblies. Qosina carries adhesive solutions that are designed to adhere to many different types of materials. The solutions are offered with low bloom and low odor qualities, and varying degrees of viscosity, shear strength, and fixture time. Rubber-toughened solutions to allow for movement or for use on flexible surfaces are also available.
